There is something deeply unsettling about the idea that time, the one thing we trust without ever questioning it, might not be as stable as it feels, because every second of our lives depends on the belief that time moves forward and in a straight, predictable line, carrying us from one moment to the next without interruption, without distorting it, without ever losing its place. And yet throughout history, there has been stories, strange, and often dismissed, where certainty begins to break, where people step into these ordinary places in ordinary days, and suddenly they find themselves in moments that they do not belong in their time. Moments that, you know, they feel real, they look real, they are detailed, but they are impossible all at once. And sometimes these stories are not imagination or dreams, because the people who experience them insist in one thing above everything else that what they saw, what they felt, what they lived through was completely real, and it can be last like only a couple of minutes or even years for them and not for us. But even if it vanished quickly, they just they leave that confusion and that questioning that why me and why did this happen? And tonight we are stepping into those moments. I found a couple of multiple real cases of time sleeps, and each one is different, and each one I cannot explain it, but we will comment on that as normal. And since I made a couple of episodes that you can see it here on the on the channel, you guys have been sending me DMs like, I have a time sleep, can you do more time sleeps episodes? And here it is, I'm doing a compilation of some stories that I found out on Reddit, on TikTok, on Instagram, everywhere. And I think that they are fun in their own way, maybe not to the person that lived it. But welcome back guys to the storytelling podcast, your cozy corner of captivating tales. I'm your host Alejandra, and today we are diving into a series of strange and real-time sleep cases that I found out on TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, blogging. You know, some of you send me a couple of links on DMs, and thank you for that. And you know, in these moments, people, you know, appear to have stepped outside of their own time, and I think this is really fascinating. And you know, maybe in other places and encountering places and people and other realities that you should not have existed. But let's go through it, shall we? And just remind you that this channel is made for you to binge. Many more episodes are waiting for you here on the channel. If you prefer a visual experience, you can also find the episodes on YouTube where you can watch and listen at the same time. And on the first story, it's called the Versailles Incident. And in 1901, two English women, Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain, were visiting the Palace of Versailles, a place known for its beauty, its history, and its connection to the life of Marie Antoinette. But what began as a simple walk through the gardens quickly turned into something that neither of them could explain. As they wandered further away from the main path, the atmosphere around them began to change in a way that it was subtle at first, with the light seeming dimmer, the air heavier, and the silence deeper than it should have been. And this creating a feeling on both of them that later they described as unnatural, almost as if the environment itself has is shifting into something else entirely. And they began to notice people around them, but not in the way that you would expect a tourist location, because these figures were dressed in clothing that did not belong to their time, and wearing garments that look as though they had stepped directly out of the 18th century, and they were moving slowly, speaking little, and carrying them an unsettling stillness. And at one point, they encountered a woman sitting and sketching. She was calm and composed, dressed in what appeared to be historical attire. And later, both women became convinced that they had seen none other than Marie Antoinette herself. As if they had somehow stepped into a moment from the past, and this was actually happening. And then, just as suddenly as it began, everything returned to normal, with modern visitors reappearing and the atmosphere lifting, and that strange sense of displacement disappearing like it never happened. Our next story is called Liverpool Time Street. Decades later, in the city of Liverpool, another strange event would add to the growing number of time slip stories that we hear. And this time is involving a man named Frank who experienced something far more sudden or disorienting. While walking along on Bald Street, an ordinary and busy part of the city, he suddenly noticed that everything around him had changed. Not gradually, but suddenly, uh completely, as if he had stepped from one version of the reality into another without any transition on them. And the cars were different, it were older in design, and the storefronts had changed, displaying names and styles that no longer existed. And even the people around him appeared to belong to another era, dressed in clothing that matched the time that he was long before gone. And for a brief moment, he was no longer in the present. He was somewhere else. Or perhaps somewhere else. And then, without any warning, everything shifted back and returning him to the morning streets as if nothing had happened, and leaving him standing there, trying to make sense of a moment that had no logical explanation. And now, either you heard it before or not, but there is one dedicated episode about this experience, and it's the Gedianton Canyon experience. And in 1972, deep within a remote canyon in Utah, a group of friends experienced something that was not about seeing another time, and they lost time entirely. This absence. And we spoke this about on episode 59, if you want more details, just to make sure that you check it out here on the channel. And the story number four is called The Man Who Should Have Not Existed. And among the many strange accounts that I found about time slips and altered realities, because this is what it is, there was this one particular case that stood out to me. And it's not because it is longer or more detailed, because sometimes the best things are not so detailed, and because it was it looked so normal, so simple, so ordinary. And it unfolded in a way that reality itself was an element that contradicted with what we know in the world. So this was in the 1950s, and at an airport in Tokyo, Japan, a man arrived like any other traveler, carrying documents and passing through the exit the expected routines and presenting himself in a way that it was no he didn't give no reason to concern, it was just a normal traveler. Until the moment his passport was examined more closely, and then something unusual was noticed. The country listed on this passport was called Toreth, United Kingdom of Taurus. If you know me by now, I'm a Taurus, so it might be my country, sorry. A name that did not correspond to any known nation. And while this could have initially been dismissed as a simple mistake or a typo, misunderstanding, the man's reaction made it clear that from his perspective, there was no confusion at all. And he spoke with certainty, insisting that Toreth was a real and established country, expressing this genuine frustration when officials failed to recognize the country. And when shown on the map, he pointed to the region where Andorra exists, and he explained that his country has been located there for centuries, and you know, this made the situation even more difficult to dismiss because he had documents that appear consistent and detailed and contain stamps and records of other previous travels. As though he had moved through the system, you know, normally, like you know, every single person accepted his passport. We need to remind you that this was 1950s. And as questions continue and the authorities decided to hold him temporarily to attempt and verify his identity, they placed him in a nearby hotel under supervision, in you know, in a controlled and situation. Yet the following morning, the man disappeared without explanation. It left no traces whatsoever, no record of movements, and no evidence that this actually happened. There was no cameras back then. So he was just a missing person. And it was what remained of him, and the other the other policemen, they got confused because they saw the person, they touched the person, they spoke with the person, they had the passport, and suddenly there is no nothing. So this story doesn't have an explanation, but it's it's quite could it be a spy? But I love this story. Uh not only because the kingdom of Taurus would be hard to butt in, sorry, I had to say this one, but actually it's it's kind of strange, isn't it? Our story number five, it's about the air marshal, Sir Victor Goddard's flight. And this was from 1935. So in 1935, Victor Goddard, a respected air marshal in the Royal Air Force, was flying over an abandoned airfield near Edinburgh, a place he knew well and recognized as being in poor condition with broken hangars, overgrown grass, and no visible activity, which matched all official records of the site at the time. However, during his flight, the weather suddenly shifted in a way that it wasn't very normal. But he looked down again at the same airfield and he saw a completely different thing. And he thought at first that it couldn't be possible because the airfield below it now just appeared fully functional, and it was it had this neatly maintained grass, mechanics moving around, and aircraft painted in colors of the Royal Air Force, that it would not be introduced until years later, so like living in the future. But what made this experience even more unsettling was that everything he saw was so detailed, so this was not a dream or it wasn't distorted, but it was real. And he briefly flown into a moment from the future, rather into the past. And before the scene abruptly disappeared and the airfield returned to its abandoned state, you know what? Years later, that same airfield was renovated, and it matched exactly to what he had seen. In our story number six, it's about the Kersey time sleep, and it was about the village that changed. And in the quiet village of Kersey, a place known for its preserved medieval appearance, narrow streets with timber-framed houses that already give the impression of stepping back in time, a little bit like York, for example, there is a story that stands out because of how the complete reality can shift to people that experience it. And one evening, a couple was walking down the village and noticed something unusual ahead of them, like a soft glow coming from one of the streets. A light that it was warm and also inviting, but it was also strange because it didn't match the more the modern lighting around them. And as they moved closer, the entire atmosphere began to change. That's you know, it wasn't subtle. And the village, which had moments, you know, it was familiar but it was quiet, suddenly appeared different, as though they stepped fully into another time, with electric lights gone, replaced by what it seemed candlelights and firelight glowing inside of the buildings, causing shadows that moved in ways that it was disconnected from the present. And even the structure of the street seemed altered enough to create this sense that they were no longer in the same place and at the same moment. They crossed this invisible boundary, this version of cursey that belonged to another century. And silence was very high and deepened, but not in a way that made any movement feel noticeable. But for a brief moment they stood there, both aware that something was happening and they could not explain it. And even though this felt really real, it did not belong to their time. And they both saw it, and then just as suddenly, as this began, everything returned to normal, and the modern lightning reappeared, the atmosphere was normal again, and the village looked exactly as it should, you know, leaving behind that memory that for a moment it was real, but it was impossible to prove to this couple. And when these stories are placed side by side, what just stands out is not you know the strangeness of each each of them, but how similar they actually are, because the different expressions and this kind of disruption and the moment that stops, it's expected when we talk about the time sleep. But would you what would you do in the case of a time sleep? And for example, in the cases like the Palace of Versailles, uh it seems to exist alongside the present. And I'd of course this this story was from 1901, and we cannot speak with anyone, and of course, this is a story, um, but nowadays everyone is you know it's cosplaying, Palace of Versailles actually has um a yearly ball, and we could say, like, for example, there's someone, you know, uh someone just cosplaying uh and using uh the the the robes and and everything, but for example, about Liverpool, how how do you change things? Could it be like of course this was in 35, but um you know a type of picky blinders filming? Of course, we can now say this, but this was not in in an era that this existed. And for example, the the man in Tokyo, that one was for me was the most one of the most because there are many, and I will every now and then create another episode about time slips, but the one in Tokyo was it's not the first time that I hear a time slip or a strange story about someone having a different passport from uh a city or a country that's it's nowhere in the map, but he disappeared. Like, who was he? Was he a spy? Was if he was a spy, he wouldn't be using that passport, he would use you know a normal US, Russia, UK um passport. But what do you think that this happened? And do you like this kind do you have any stories about this? Because if you do, you know, my door is open to these stories. And to finalize this episode, I'm going to ask a question that is I think it's one of the difficult uh in this one. Is that what happened to you if suddenly you had a lot of hours? And I'm not talking about I know that majority of you are already making fun of a couple of things, but you know, but what happened if you lost your time without knowing what happened? I'm not talking about any disease, I'm not talking about any, you know, you've been drinking the whole night and you don't remember who you were, what you did, but you know, you were there, you were present. What would you do? And if time can overlap or disappear or reveal something that it should not be accessible even for a brief moment, how we could recognize it was real and that we are not dreaming, and is this true that time slips exist and there is a lot of you know failures in the matrix? But how can we understand them? And this was today's episode, guys. I hope you liked it. And comment below and share your thoughts. Which one of you had a time slip? Comment below, and also if you have any any stories about this, you need to send it here because we have more episodes ready. Um seriously, we do. It's been a strange time for me. And just to remind you that this channel is made for YouTube bench, and many more episodes are coming for you. I have a couple of other listeners' stories, um, and even real life stories like not haunted or not historical um uh that we'll share about from from you guys.
